This script expects a live profile to be displayed front-most. Create such a profile on a live camera view with the live profile tool (looks like a blue sine wave). Each time the live profile updates, this script will capture that display and store it in a stack, up to the number of profiles specified. Since stacks of 1D profiles are very small, very large numbers (1000s) of profiles can be captured at high speed, without running out of memory. If capturing the entire 2D image - only a few 10s to 100s of frames may be able to be captured and then perhaps at only 4-10 frames per second, depending on camera, settings and computer hardware. Hold down the Spacebar to terminate the acquisition early. Use the Slice control to scroll through the profiles in the stack. This script may be useful in capturing changes in the specimen occurring under electron irradiation, such as contamination build-up, void formation, crystal growth etc.
